What's your favourite game?
This is honestly a tough question. I'm a very varied player - one moment I'm playing a hardcore RPG, the next I'm spending weeks only playing Peggle
Although, objectively, I think my number one has to be Minecraft. That game has made a huge legacy as both a brand and a game that never dies. It's a perfect example of a true forever-franchise - I started playing that game during beta in 2011 and I'm still playing it to this day.
Why did you start working in production?
I've been a gamer since I was young. Whether that was playing an unusual Happy Meal fairy game on my mum's work laptop or racing around in GTA, playing with consoles, computers and phones has been part of my life for as long as I remember. I would watch the credits roll on games and movies - see the word "producer" - and say "that is what I want to be when I grow up!"
Although by the time I got to University, I wasn't too sure on what my career would look like. In my second year, I took a chance on applying for a placement as a games producer at Zynga. That job made me realise how much I loved production and helping other creative people thrive. It is one of the most self-fulfilling creative disciplines I've worked in and the people in this industry are absolutely incredible.
